As a psychologist who researches emotional intelligence, I know people with high EQ tend to have a critical skill I like to call "emotional sovereignty." When you know how to handle your emotions, you can harness them for creativity, energy, deeper relationships, and greater happiness and fulfillment. Others may be surprised by the fact that you no longer suppress your emotions — they might even be a little uncomfortable with it at first. Food workers wash their hands as they should only one in three times, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The consequence: Germs spread from food workers’ hands to food, which can trigger an outbreak of dangerous foodborne illness in restaurants. By improving handwashing practices, food workers can be a critical part to preventing outbreaks of diseases like norovirus, Salmonella, and E. coli, it said. “In all circumstances, thorough, frequent hand hygiene is critical for preventing the spread of disease. Technology can potentially assist with increasing compliance and quality of hand hygiene, and that is very exciting indeed,” she said.

Cruise ship companies are failing sexual assault victims, lawsuits seen by Business Insider show. Carnival told the Washington Post last year that the alleged assailant was fired from the cruise line but that he was never charged. "The truth is, cruise companies don't know much about the employees they hire," he told BI. "I don't know how they sleep at night, I really don't"Jamie Barnett, from the organization International Cruise Victims (ICV), told BI that the behavior of cruise companies makes victims feel "lost and very isolated." TOKYO (AP) — An undersea volcano erupted off Japan three weeks ago, providing a rare view of the birth of a tiny new island, but experts say it may not last very long. The unnamed undersea volcano, located about 1 kilometer (half a mile) off the southern coast of Iwo Jima, which Japan calls Ioto, started its latest series of eruptions on Oct. 21. Volcanic activity at the site has since subsided, and the newly formed island has somewhat shrunk because its “crumbly” formation is easily washed away by waves, Usui said. “But the island may not last very long.”Undersea volcanos and seismic activities have formed new islands in the past. In 2015, a new island was formed as a result of a month-long eruption of a submarine volcano off the coast of Tonga.

For South Korean male participants, winning a gold medal in the Asian Games or Olympic Games not only brings honor but also grants them a military exemption. However, the mandatory duty can be waived for some athletes, in particular those who win an Olympic medal or a gold medal in the Asian Games. Seven games will be featured as official medal events at the 19th Asian Games, building on the success of the pilot event at the 2018 Jakarta-Palembang Games. The venue for the Asian Games esports competitions is state-of-the-art and an impressive sight to see. With its inclusion as an official Asian Games medal event, the possibility of esports becoming a part of the Olympic Games is a topic of growing debate.
